ELF'S treatment of Sungmin and Kangin

I feel that the Korean ELF are being unfair in their treatment of Sungmin and Kangin.
I have read many articles and fan blogs on this and I still can't understand Why they want them out of the group.
They are Human just like the rest of us, they are going to make mistakes and do things that fans don't like. Sungmin fell in love and I can only Congradulate him on that. He has a right to privacy and to refuse commentary when the fans asked about marriage rumors, Why did they turn their backs on him after his Marriage was announced on mainstream tv. Just because he is an idol Does NOT give fans the right to every single detail of his life, He shares plenty with us through his various social media Outlets. I don't see the issue in regards to him sharing the fan gifts with his Wife, nor with the nickname fans gave him.
From the minute Super Junior gave us the name ELF they made a promise to take care of us and we did the same to them. Doesn't that include Supporting them No Matter What?
Hasn't Super Junior been through enough?  Since 2005 they have been through 2 car accidents one in August of 06, an accident that Nearly took Kyuhyun from us, and many fans Opposed Him joining the group before that, Heechuls Car Accident in April 07 that took him out of the scene for nearly a year. The Debut of the Don't Don MV  in 2007 in which Henry first appeared and many fans were outraged at a Newbie who Was Not in the group getting a small solo in the Mv and performances, And in 2008 when it was announced that Zhoumi and Henry were permanently joining as members of  Super Junior M Which many fans Vehemently Opposed as they didn't want new members in any way. The loss of Donghae's Father that same year. To the loss of Hangeng and Kibum as members of Super Junior in 2011. To the Conditions of Kangin Enlistment following his Accident later in 09 followed by Heechul and Leeteuk respectively. To The Tragic and Sudden loss of Leeteuk's Father and Grandparents.
what is so wrong with them wanting to have a bit of life that's solely their own?
There is a particular phrase that has been circulating throughout the Elf world since early 2008 "Prom15e to Bel13ve" Promise to Beleive .The Phrase means that we Promise to believe in Super Junior Wether its the original 13 members to the 15 members at the addition of Zhoumi and Henry to Super Junior M.
I see Super Junior itself as well as the ELF as a Family, we have been beside them for 12-13 years not counting their training period. No they don't always get along and yes they fight amongst each other about silly things, that's just what a family does.
If we turn our back on one member, we do it to ALL of them. They worked Hard together in order to achieve the success that they have now, no member did more than the others
Sungmin Oppa, Kangin Oppa, Suju Oppa No matter what is said or done by Some ELF'S You are ALWAYS going to have our Love and support. I hope that you are doing well
Scinceily
An ELF

Hangeng Clown Mask

MV link here ~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=228Z3J1eqC0 ~
Hangeng Clown Mask  (lyrical and video analysis)

Music is a Universal language. One that allows you to understand the meaning of the song through the Rhythm and melody. Even if you  don’t understand the language its being sung in. Your mind has a way of understanding it through the way the artist delivers the song. I find that each time you listen to the song or see the music video.
The lyric depth can be analyzed many different ways, by that I mean the impact of the song can change each time you hear or see it. Sometimes looking up the translation of the song and finding what the lyrics themselves speak to you can make you have an “aha” moment. each time you view the video or even hear the song and therefore they can take you into a deeper level of thought and understanding. The symbolism that you find throughout the video can be a bit challenging to notice, for some it is immediately obvious as it relates to their emotions at the time
.For others it can be quite hard to find any connection. Its not just the symbolism or melody of a music video or song that can broaden a persons mind: For example the lyrics “Drawn on the mask is a clown, not a tiger. His endless smile has never changed” Most people perceive the clown mask as always being seen in one of two expressions, happy or sad, but they don’t perceive what kind of person could be hiding behind the frown or the smile; The theme of this song is how a person’s true self is always conflicting with the emotional mask that they wear every day to hide their true emotions.  In addition to the First example another lyric that stands out is Illusions and reality are all tangled anyway”.These hold true for everyone, people see what they want to see so that they can avoid the reality of the suffering within the world. What we see as reality is diluted and twisted by the media and people of political power.
In the music video Hangeng plays an android like version of himself who is on a mission. To find the perfect mask in order to create the perfect human. But Every time he tries on a different emotional mask, His robotic body rejects it and he feels like his whole world is falling apart as he continues to try on masks. The struggle to keep it on as gets harder and harder for him. When he finally finds one that his body doesn’t reject, he struggles to adapt. Then a more human version of him appears from within the androids body. Despite all of its “ Supposed human imperfections,” the More human version is able to dance with Fluid and Graceful movements, whereas the Android Hangeng struggles.
For example: The scene where the Android throws up his hands as if in resignation while glass or rain (or both) falls around him. Could be a metaphor Of  succumbing to the one particular mask because they are tired of changing so often. Towards the end of the MV, there is a shot of a computer screen where the Real Hangeng seems to be making a replica of himself, aka the android version. Afterwards the android Hangeng finally realizes that even though he isn’t human, He is the one who is control of his own emotions and that he is not bound by the mask to a certain expression.
Wearing mask limits us physically and emotionally as humans because we’re not being true to ourselves. They are like a metaphor, bringing to lite the fact that our “perfect” masks are never truly perfect that they will always be flawed in some way. We come across as stiff and uncomfortable or preppy and rude: facades are created to protect us from being hurt. So when we finally get a chance to be ourselves or become comfortable and accustomed to those around us. Then the so-called “imperfect selves” as we call them can easily be let loose and cast off. These two versions of Hangeng show the gap between reality and fantasy, and the ambiguity of that gap; it also brings up a question; are our masks fake or just a of piece of our true selves?

Dangers of Owning Exotic Pets

Every day there are thousands of pets bought and sold all over the world it seems that the most desired kind of pets are ones that have “exotic” looks and qualities. But what defines an animal as exotic?  According to federal law, an “Exotic” animal is defined as "any animal not identified in the definition of "animal" provided that said species is native to a foreign country or of foreign origin or character, is not native to the United States, or was introduced from abroad. The term includes but is not limited to animals such as, lions, tigers, leopards, elephants etc. “Exotic Animal 1” Unlike your average everyday pet, exotic animals; even if they are bought as infants or at a young age they still retain a good portion of their wild nature, even when they are bred for the pet trade and hand raised by humans, can still be unpredictable. In a lot of cases, especially those involving full-grown adult mammals/reptiles that are abandoned because they are no longer cute and desirable and they can be extremely dangerous. Rescue organizations that are out there are left trying to care for the many abandoned and abused exotic animals.

Having an exotic animal as a pet is not a good idea because they require more care than the average person can provide. When they come into the hands of private individuals, these animals often suffer the most because of poor care and health conditions. They also can pose safety and health risks to their owners and any person they come into contact with. In the U.S, it is unclear how many Exotic animals are kept as privately held as pets. Individual owners in possession of exotic animals often try to change the very nature of the animal rather than the type of care they themselves provide for the animal. Such tactics that exotic pet owners will use include tactics such as confinement in small barren enclosures, chaining, beating the animal “into submission,” or even painful mutilations such as declawing and tooth removal. “Dangers of exotic pets 1”  There are a variety of sources that provide millions of animals of all ages to the exotic pet trade each year. Animals are captured from their native habitat and then transported all over the world to and from various countries only to be sold as “pets”. It is estimated that between 5,000 and 7,000 tigers are kept by private owners as “pets” which is far more than the number of tigers that exist out in the wild. “Danger of exotic pets 1”; whether the animal is young or old, wild animals do not adjust well to life in captivity. They require special care, maintenance, housing, and diet that often times the buyer cannot provide. Exotic “pets” that are purchased as infants are often abandoned by their individual owner as they age and become impossible to control. When and if the individual ever realizes that he or she can no longer handle or care for an exotic pet, they usually turn to zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, such as Safari Zoo sanctuary owned by Lori Ensign, to relieve them of the burden and responsibility of caring for said animal. The source of income for such sanctuaries is mostly fundraising; it also includes the volunteers as well as founder’s paycheck. Other exotic animals that in a backyard breeder’s opinion have outgrown its usefulness usually become surplus animals. However there are never going to be enough accredited organizations to accommodate the number of unwanted exotic animals. And consequently, the majority of these majestic animals are euthanized, abandoned, or doomed to live in deplorable conditions. “fact 5 on 10 facts about exotic pets”

According to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the exotic pet trade is a multi-billion dollar industry, second to drug and weapon sales on the black market. It's estimated that it is a $15 billion dollar business in the U.S alone, and with breeders selling animals over the Internet or in various trade magazines. Millions of these beautiful animals are forced into the exotic pet trade every year for the purpose of becoming someone's pet or entertaining people in a circus or roadside zoo. “Facts about Exotic pet trade 1” It has become ridiculously easy to purchase or obtain an exotic pet. Thousands of internet sites from all over the world offer to sell exotic animals and some even provide chat rooms where buyers and sellers can haggle over an animal and its price. They rarely ever if at all give the purchaser the proper animal care advice that involve an animal’s basic needs, such as feeding, handling, medical care and living environment. There are many other sources that are helping to facilitate the exotic pet trade. For example the  “Animal Finders’ Guide,” which carries ads from private parties, dealers, breeders, ranchers, and even zoos that are offering large cats, monkeys, and other species of exotic animals for sale. The sale and possession of exotic animals is regulated by a patchwork of local, state and federal laws that vary by community and by the type of animal that a person wishes to buy. “Dangers of exotic pets 1”. There are eighteen states that only prohibit possession of dangerous reptiles, bears, nonhuman primates, wolves’ and large cats. Only ten states that have a partial ban which prohibits the possession of some exotic animal species. Thirteen states require the breeder or owner to have a license or permit in order for them to be able to possess the exotic animals. “Summary of State laws 1”. Many counties and cities have adopted ordinances that are more stringent than the just state law. The sellers of these beautiful animals make no mention of the state or local laws and regulations regarding private possession of these exotic animals. Nor do they mention the dangers, difficulties or the physical and physiological needs of the animals they peddle for money. The suffering that these beautiful animals go through in the hands of unqualified and ruthless buyers appears to be of no concern in the lucrative exotic pet trade.

Exotic animals by nature are inherently dangerous to their neighbors and community’s and especially the individuals who possess them. Across the country, incidents have been reported where exotic animals held in private hands and escaped from their enclosure and attacked its owner or other humans as well as other animals. Children and adults have been mauled to death by tigers, bitten by monkeys, and asphyxiated by snakes. The most famous case of an animal attack was on October 3, 2003, at the MGM Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.  When a trained 7-year-old white tiger named Montecore suddenly attacked and carried handler Roy Horn off stage by the throat during Siegfried & Roy's long-standing magic show at the Mirage. Horn suffered massive blood loss and a stroke but luckily survived with his life. “Siegfried and Roy tiger attack article 1-3” Most of the exotic animals owned by private exhibiters are by nature territorial of their “homes” and many of them live in groups out in the wild. Many exotic pets are typically isolated and spend the majority of their day pacing in a small enclosure. Keeping any kind of exotic animal isolated in close quarters with only enough room for them to stand up and turn around and no space for them to roam increases their stress levels. When an animal is unable to roam and freely express it becomes agitated and dangerous. Animals that live in these conditions are time bombs just waiting to explode

A show I watch on Spike TV called Urban Tarzan has many great examples of why people should NOT own exotic pets. John Brennan, who legally changed his name to Urban Tarzan, is an Animal Relocation Specialist; he runs a wild life sanctuary along with his partner, simply known as Caveman, who is a reptile expert. Together, they specialize in rescuing and relocating exotic wildlife. A phrase that is commonly used on the show is “gotta go check it out” and the animal rescues they go on involve “pets” that have escaped or an animal that has gone out of control and sometimes the animal isn’t always the only problem. The exotic animals they rescue vary in size, from big cats to small animals like monkeys, snakes and other small mammals. Another Notable rescue organization that I discovered online through YouTube is Big Cat rescue; which is educational sanctuary and rescue organization that specializes in exotic big cats as well as smaller breeds of exotic felines. They post videos of the 150+ big and small wildcats that they have living at the sanctuary. BIG CAT TV, as it’s called, gives viewers a close look into the day to day lives of the animals and operations that go on around the sanctuary. This organization functions mainly with volunteers and public touring and donations.

Through wildlife conservation, local sanctuaries and rescue organizations I hope that people can realize the dangers of owning an exotic pet. That even though they are cute and cuddly while they are little, they won’t stay that way. I hope that people decide to keep these majestic animals where they belong, In the WILD.

U-KISS ( Ubiquitous korean International idol Super Star)

What do you get when you put together a group of teens with different cultural backgrounds that share the same dream? You get a rookie boy band that has a unique set of skills that show whenever they appear on variety shows or in behind the scenes footage. This unique group of teens comes from places all over the world. These are the talented young men that make up one of Korea’s most popular boy bands UKISS. The Group Debuted in mid to late 2008 as a six member boy-band in Seoul, South Korea with their first mini album titled "New Generation" the title song "Not Young," along with the music video that overflowed with the "Cuteness" concept during their rookie days. They became immensely popular with fans from all over the world mostly consisting of "Noona's" (Older women). soon they released a second Mini Album in early February of 2009, titled "Bring It Back To Old School" Shortly after they gained a new member (Kiseop) brought the group member count to 7. Their next mini album is what got them recognition in Korea and on the world wide music charts.
The beloved “Man Man Ha Ni.” This albums concept drove fans wild as it was completely opposite of “Not Young” and went full blown with the "sexiness” and “manliness”concept. This Song and its accompanying music video became and overnight sensation on YouTube.   Their First Full Album titled "Only One’ sold thousands of copies in stores as well as online. The Title song “Binguel Binguel”(Round and Round) had Fans Screaming their heads off at performances. During this time, the group made some reality TV shows, "U-Kiss Vampire”," U-kiss: Kiss the Dream” and “Chef's Kiss" and a short web series called “You know Ukiss?” and “All about U-Kiss” and several others over the years. Watching these shows allowed fans to see a different side of the members than what I have seen from their onstage interviews and performances. When we watch these shows we find that all of the members love to joke around with each other and have fun and are really kids at heart. Shortly after the release of the mini album “Break time” and its accompanying title song “Shut Up” music video along with promotions. In late March of 2011 the group underwent a member change. It was an extremely emotionally hard time for the members and fans alike.

During this time as Kibum and Xander Left NH Media (there are rumors that they were forced to quit but I don't know the whole story) Xander went solo with the 3rd wave music company and released his first mini album titled “I Just.” It personally made me proud that he was taking things into his own hands, while Kibum went on and started a company with his older brother SS501's Kim Hyung-Jun called HnB Entertainment and produced the wildly popular Korean pillow (regular and neck ) Piro Piro as well as doing some solo music work in Japan.
In early March, after much anticipation from the fans, the group reviled their new Members: Paran's former “maknae” AJ as well as former taekwondo champ and ballad singer Hoon. It was hard for the fans to adjust to the new members because of the emotions that surfaced at Xander and Kibums parting. When an idol group undergoes a member change, the fans are put “in a pickle” as they say. About whether or not they should accept and support the new members as well as the former ones, or should they continue to only support the “original” group members and have bitter feelings towards the new ones. Soon after becoming members and finishing the promotions for the previous mini albums during the finishing promotion performances, I noticed that Hoon and AJ would add their voices to Xander and Kibum’s, becoming backup vocals instead of straight out taking over the part. This was their way of showing fans and anti-fans that they were not replacing the former members in any way. Rather that they were becoming part of the group, that says a lot about their characters and personalities. It made a big impression on me personally and convinced me that they did belong in the group and were the right people to join the group.
Soon after, the group began preparing for their comeback and second full-length album "Neverland". In 2012 they released another Mini album titled “Dora Dora". After promoting this album they released a special album for their fan base the KISS ME’S.  This album was titled “A Special To Kiss Me’s” with the title song "Believe" it became an overnight sensation with fans, and after the music videos release it received over 500,000 views on YouTube before it was taken down because of a “mistake” in the editing and re-uploaded with a mistake free version which received just as many views maybe more (fans prefer the mistake version). Ukiss is the only group that I have known to release an entire mini album dedicated to their fans alone.
Fans Thoughts.

There are many things that can be said about both the PAST and PRESENT members of this group. One thing is for sure is that  fans love them to pieces. Many of us save up our allowances, wages, etc. in order to see a live concert or to go to a fan signing event. But most of us do not have the time or money to do so. So we rely on the members twitter accounts and fan posts and other websites such as Facebook, YouTube, Tumbler, and Ameblo. As well as other SNS (Social Networking Sites) in order to know what is happening at the moment with the members and also to make sure that they are doing well. We know that because of their chaotic schedule they don't get much sleep and constantly worry about them and wonder if they are doing alright, and it seems the members know that we worry about them as they constantly post online what there currently doing and how they are.  This just shows that the group understands and loves us fans just as much as we love them. It also shows that K-Pop idol groups or solo artist make an active effort to show their fans how much they appreciate the support and love that the fans give them. We all know that it can get lonely and extremely tough for idols from day one with things such as being homesick and missing family. But there is also something else that they have alongside the fans and that is the other members of their group. Videos of them playing around onstage and even crying with each other. These videos just show how close the members have become over the years. They may not be blood related but that does not change the fact that they ARE a Family for all intensive purposes.

RISK

Everyday we make choices that affect us and the people around us. When we are little we don’t think about the risks or consequences involved in the things that we do, we just do them because we want to. There are many risks that I have taken in my life; all of them have had an effect on who I am today. The biggest risk that I have taken in my life is telling the person I love how I felt. When I met this person I thought nothing of what I was feeling, I just brushed the feelings off as the excitement of having someone who finally understood me. All thought that person was in a relationship when I meet them; I have gotten closer to them over the time that we have known each other. I can tell them anything that bothers me or ask advice from them and know that they won’t turn away from me. I know that they will give me an honest answer. It took seeing the person I fell for getting hurt emotionally by the person they loved for me to realize how I strongly felt for them. There are many risks that a person takes when they enter a relationship with someone. One of the risks that a person takes is getting hurt by the other persons past or present issues. The fact that they have issues does not stop me from wanting to be with them, even though, I know I can get hurt because of them. When you meet someone that you feel strongly for you are willing to face anything that comes at you. The person I have fallen for has issues, I want help them get through those issues because I don’t want to see them deal with the pain alone. That is just one of the many risks that we take into account in everyday life.

LOVE

Love is something our hearts Desire, Want, Long for, and most of all Need everyday. When we say "I Love You" to someone we know, we generally mean it as a friend or family member, not as a lover and when we meet the person who makes us feel all of these things, then we mean it as a Lover, we think that they will never do anything to hurt us, physically or emotionally. And when they do, it may not have been intended to hurt us at all. A musician I listen to of and on said in an interview Said ."Love isn't always romantic, plainly put, it hurts. Your loved ones can hurt you in ways that no one else can" and I realize that she is right. Our loved ones can hurt us in ways NO one else can. As Kids and Preteens we have crushes on our friends or classmates, as Teenagers we get more serious with our relationships, we'll do things like hold hands and maybe even have the occasional kiss with the person we have chosen. And as our relationships progress we go farther than just the tentative kiss; and eventually we want to go all the way with the person we are with. As teenagers we think we know everything about love after one relations ship, the truth is we don’t. Plain and simple we don’t realize Just how much we end up putting into our Relationships, and if they don’t work out... Our hearts get broken. I’ve seen people who have given their all in the relationship they are in and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t, we don’t realize that as a friend it effects us also, seeing someone we care about to lose someone they love hurts just as much as if it was our own relationship because we care about that person ... But sometimes we don’t count on falling for that friend ourselves. When we fall for a friend we try to hide it because we think it’ll be too weird for us or sometimes we tell that friend that we have fallen for them and it may work out for us and… it may not. Someone told me “if it’s meant to happen it will if it’s not then it won’t”. When you think about it, it's true, we may want things to happen and they don't and thinks we desperately don’t want to happen Do especially when it comes to relationships. Even if that person leaves, our feelings for them don't. We still care for them more than we let them know. We also have to realize that some emotions will surface more strongly than others and can be misunderstood by us; I know from Personal experience that it isn’t easy to handle. Having so many emotions running around in your head, it gets so confusing and you get to feeling depressed because of actions that you do, you end up hurting people that you Never want to hurt. When that happens it scares you, because the person who did those actions isn’t who you really are, and you feel so alone and afraid, but you have to realize that you are not alone. Ever, you always have people there who will help you through it and who will have the guts to be blunt and honest with you and who will tell you to Wake Up and realize what’s going on. A close friend of mine brought me to my senses, I was feeling So Sad and hurt that I lashed out at people I cared about just to make myself feel better and I ended up hurting people I love, when you are feeling hurt and angry things seem to not matter except for what You are feeling, but that’s not true they do matter because they have consequences. My friend told me what he thought and that woke me up to how I was acting, I will always regret the actions that I did to hurt people, but I also can’t have a pity party about it I have to keep going on and hope that the people I hurt can forgive me someday
